Terms and Conditions

1              Introduction

1.1           These Terms & Conditions explain the rights, obligations and responsibilities of all parties to this Agreement. Where we use the word ‘You’ or ‘Your’ it means the Customer: ‘We’, ‘Us’ or ‘Our’ means the Movers And Removers.
“Goods” means all furniture and other goods accepted from the Customer which is to be the subject of the Services; You are therefore advised to carry Home and Contents or Goods in Transit Insurance separately from an Insurance Company. This can be arranged for separately with one of the customer Representative on: 0400 807 755

2              Quotation

2.1           Our quotation, unless otherwise stated, does not include Goods insurance, customs duties, inspections, or any fees, or taxes payable to government bodies or agencies.

3              Our responsibility

3.1           Obtain at Your own expense, all documents, permits, permissions, licences, customs documents necessary for the removal to be completed

It is your responsibility to make sure all Goods are insured before relocation. All damage to Goods is at your risk and/or expense.

3.3           It’s recommended that you or your authorized representative will be present when the Goods are loaded and unloaded.

3.4           It’s your responsibility to ensure that nothing that should be removed is left behind and nothing is taken away in error.

3.5
It’s your responsibility to provide us correct and up to date contact address and telephone number during removal transit of goods.

3.6           It is the your (customer’s) responsibility to inform us about the awkward access. Awkward access can include, no vehicle access, no parking available in close proximity to the property and cramped stair and hallway conditions. We reserve the right to add extra costs due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. waiting for keys or gaining entry, incorrect addresses, etc.).

3.7           It is your responsibility to provide legal parking

4              Removal of Goods

4.1           Goods may not to be submitted for removal.

4.2                       Dangerous or hazardous Goods or materials, such as Prohibited or stolen goods, drugs, pornographic material, potentially dangerous, damaging or explosive items and ammunition.

4.3           Goods, which as a result of their excessive size, weight or inherent nature, are difficult or dangerous to transport.

4.4           Goods which require special license or government permission for export or import.

5              Payments

5.1           Payment to be made immediately on completion of the job.

5.2           Job time will continue and you will be charged at the hourly rate until, full payment is received, if payment is not made immediately the job finish.

5.3           Payments for Toll and any Parking Infringements issued due to client’s negligence must be paid with all dues.

5.4           In case of non payment for our services, we reserve the right to hold some of the goods delivered.

5.5           In case of non-payment of outstanding amount by the due date, we reserve the right to sell the possessed goods to recover our service cost.

5.6           On an hourly priced job, we starts time from the time loading commences until the completion of offloading at the final destination address. We do not charge any depot to depot costs although there are certain exceptions, Please enquire with our representatives.

5.7           All hourly priced jobs incur a minimum of 1 hour charge once the job starts, except booked on fixed prices.

5.8           Time taken over an hour is charged in 30 minute increments.

5.9           At booking time, we try and ascertain the size and quantity of goods to recommend the moving vehicle, so that we are not making multiple trips to move your goods. So, it’s very important that you give us an accurate picture of goods, otherwise we may have to make multiple trips on the moving day to move your goods which may cost you more eventually.

6              Parking

6.1           Parking must be arranged for by Customer prior to our arrival at pickup. All parking charges must be paid by customer.

6.2           Parking infringements issued while following client’s instructions must be paid by the customer in cash at the completion of job

6.3           We reserve the right to deny the removals and moving if the mover deems not safe or for any other reasons.

7              Cancellation Policy

7.1           In an event where you cancel a job, the following conditions will apply.

7.2           Cancel 24 hours before the job time.

7.3           If you cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled time of your job, no cancellation charge will be applied, unless we have not spent any monies preparing for your job, for eg. Hiring other people to help you in your job, buying specific tools for your job or if we have made any specific arrangements for you job and we had to pay for it.

7.4           Cancel within 24 hours and before 4 hours of the job time.

7.5           If you cancel the job within 24 hours and 4 hours before the scheduled time of the job, you will be liable to pay a cancellation fee of 50% of the job total. You will also be liable for any other expenses made specifically for your job, for e.g. Hiring other people to help you in your job, buying specific tools for your job or if we have made any specific arrangements for you job and we had to pay for it.

7.6           If you cancel within 30 minutes of the scheduled time of the job, or when the job has started, you will be liable to pay a cancellation fee of 100% of the job total. You will also be liable for any other expenses made specifically for your job, for e.g. hiring other people to help you in your job, hiring specific tools for your job or if we have made any specific arrangements for your job and we had to pay for it.

7.7           Cancellation on the day the work starts or at any time after the work has begun will incur up to 100% of our charges.

8              Insurance Liability

8.1           We carry Public Liability Insurance for all our Removal Services. This insurance covers damage that may occur to building due to our Staff negligence.

8.2           You must carry your own Home & Contents Insurance and Goods in Transit Insurance and have that arranged before moving.

8.3           We take total care in moving your goods, but the unexpected can happen, so we recommend you to take separate “goods in transit” insurance by talking to one of our customer service representative

9              Delay

9.1           Delays due to traffic conditions, road repairs, selection of route and the like are inherent in the furniture removal industry. We will not be liable for any loss or damage or consequential loss as a result of our being delayed.

10          Lien

10.1        We shall have right to hold your some or all of the goods until you pay all outstanding bill.

11          Staff Abuse

11.1        We will not tolerate Verbal or threatening behaviour. We have full right to leave the job immediately.

12          Agreeing to these terms

12.1        Using any of our services means that you agree to these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to change any terms set out in these terms and Conditions without any prior notice.

13          Governance

13.1        The law which governs this agreement will be the law of the state of Victoria.
